Júlia Galántai PhD is a research fellow at the Institute for Sociology, ELTE Centre for Social Sciences. She obtained her PhD in 2024 from the Doctoral School of Sociology at Eötvös Loránd University. She previously worked as a researcher at the Institute for Analytical Sociology at Linköping University, the RECENS Computational Social Science Research Group, and the Hungarian Institute for Educational Research and Development.

Her main research areas include the division of labour within the family (Galántai 2026), gender roles (Galántai et al. 2025), computational text analysis and text mining (Pápay et al. 2022; Galántai et al. 2018). In educational research projects she worked on identifying and measuring the dimensions of educational effectiveness, and published on talent development (Galántai–Bander 2015; Derényi et al. 2015).

During her doctoral studies she was awarded the research scholarship of the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In recent years she has published in international journals such as Discourse & Society, the Journal of Family Violence and Intersections: East European Journal of Society and Politics.

Since March 2026 she has been a postdoctoral researcher of the MTA-ELTE School and Health Research Group, established within the Public Education Development Research Programme of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
