Barbara Büki teaches English at the József Szterényi Technical and Vocational School of the Cegléd Vocational Training Centre in Monor. She began her studies at the Dániel Berzsenyi Teacher Training College in Szombathely, where she graduated as a teacher of English in 1999. Before obtaining her degree she lived in Croydon, England. In 2014 she also obtained a master’s degree in English language teaching at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church. She has been teaching at her current school for more than 30 years, and in her work she often meets children from disadvantaged family backgrounds who arrive at secondary school with considerable learning gaps. Creating opportunities and ensuring equal opportunities play a central role in her teaching. Her aim is to give students from diverse social backgrounds the chance to catch up and progress, supporting them in achieving as much as their abilities allow.

Péter Horváth teaches physical education, English and target-language civilisation at the Bilingual Branch School of the Zoltán Kodály Central Primary School in Kaposvár. He graduated in 2008 from Eszterházy Károly College in Eger as a teacher of English language and literature and of physical education, and in 2011 he obtained a university degree in English teaching at the same institution. A few years ago he also qualified as a remedial physical education teacher at the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences. He is currently the form teacher of a graduating class. In addition to his teaching work he takes part in numerous projects as a presenter and organiser (for example organising study trips to England and administering language examinations). To facilitate the teaching of physical education in English and to establish a consistent terminology, in 2016 he compiled a publication entitled “Teaching Physical Education in English”, which he regularly updates and revises.

Mónika Maklári is a pedagogical expert at the Debrecen site of the Reformed Pedagogical Institute and a residential tutor at the Grammar School and Dormitory of the Debrecen Reformed College. She completed her higher education at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Miskolc, where she obtained degrees as a secondary school teacher of history and in sociology. Talent development plays a central role in her professional career: in 2021 she qualified as a talent developer and talent counsellor, and since then she has been a member of the Hungarian Talent Support Society and an expert in the “Hungary of Talents” tutor programme of the Association of Hungarian Talent Support Organizations (MATEHETSZ). Alongside her work as a tutor, she taught social studies, professional skills development and communication for years at several public education institutions in Debrecen, and since September 2021 she has also been a guest lecturer at the Debrecen Reformed Theological University.

Imre Mező teaches physical education and biology at the Károly Gubányi Primary School in Pilis. He completed his college studies at the Eszterházy Károly Teacher Training College in 1993. He has been teaching lower primary, upper primary and secondary school students for more than 15 years. He also obtained a qualification in human resource management in education at Eötvös Loránd University, and is currently pursuing studies in public education management and a teacher professional examination at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church. In the 2025/26 academic year he is the form teacher of a Year 5 class. Alongside his teaching work he spent eight years as a coach at the handball department of RÉV TSC, training U8, U9 and U10 teams. In his free time he enjoys reading, DIY and sports.

Gabriella Rédling-Szabó teaches physical education and mathematics at the Zrínyi Ilona Hungarian-English Bilingual Branch School of the Zoltán Kodály Central Primary School in Kaposvár. She completed her university studies at the University of Kaposvár and the Hungarian University of Sports Science. She has been teaching upper primary students for 18 years. In recent years she has also qualified as a volleyball sports instructor (2017, University of Kaposvár), a swimming coach (2019, University of Kaposvár) and a teacher with a professional examination (2018, 2020, University of Kaposvár). She is currently the form teacher of a Year 8 class. Alongside her teaching work she coaches at the volleyball department of the Kaposvár Sports School, training a U15 and a U20 team. In her free time she enjoys travelling, hiking and sports.

Judit Ida Vankóné Pócs teaches English and Hungarian at the Jenő Wigner Technical and IT Technical School, Vocational School, Grammar School and Dormitory in Eger. She completed her higher education at the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Miskolc, where she graduated in sociology in 1999 and as a secondary school teacher of Hungarian language and literature in 2000. She then continued her studies at Eszterházy Károly College in Eger, where she obtained a teaching degree in English studies in 2010.
