Our scoping review on health literacy and social disparities among school-aged children
Health literacy is one of the key determinants of health during childhood and adolescence, yet evidence on the social and environmental factors that shape it remains fragmented in the literature. Our research group's scoping review synthesizes this evidence: after screening several thousand records, it draws on 52 studies to show which social dimensions produce the largest differences in young people's health literacy, and what practical steps follow from this for teachers and educational institutions.
